Hope Springs Eternal – the golden dove elusive – my island “of the day before” is not my island of today. I awake basking in the rays of golden sunshine. Tranquility resonated through my soul. Not encumbered by thoughts of tomorrow. Peace. My imprisonment in this castle brings me joy with hope of escaping. My only prison being time reflecting on not what has been but, what awaits. For tomorrow is another day in the rest of my life. Uncertainty is the path taken with a bitter pill, leading to metaphysical forks in my mental path of misdirection.
I have resumed my passion for literature as “of the day before.” In my writings, there will be references to places I have visited throughout my literary travels. Releasing my mental pain – surrendering to thoughts of not my own. Symbiotic thoughts, ideas that spawn relief – hope in something unseen, unknown. Another consecutive hundred-plus page day of fresh ideas. – escape from the reality known as my life. Today, as I walked about the house – home is reserved for a place of happiness, like the dove – It was as if I floated around it…Felicity! How can one come to this state of being overnight? How did I cross the longitude to another place and time that all has abated my mind and soul? Indeed, happiness is not gained from material possessions but from the consciousness of the state of mind. Sebastian, Ian & Salem my only companions along with the volumes of works not yet read. Felicity…Today I am without the bonds of turmoil, enslaving me to certain doom – this can be measured in many forms – my doom seemed to be impending. On how I love the “island.” For tomorrow is yet another day that must be masterfully conquered – survival is paramount, and I once again see the love of life – so I must retire. My only desire, is that morning comes peacefully and quickly.
